Edith Cowan University and Perth High Schools would like to invite Canberra High Schools to compete in the PeCan+2021 Capture The Flag Competition!

Presented by Edith Cowan University and the WA AustCyber Innovation Hub in Perth, and Australian National University and the ACT AustCyber Innovation Node in Canberra, this free Capture the Flag (CTF) competition is open to high schools students on both coasts from Year 10 onwards. Additional sponsors include Trustwave, CyberCX, Retrospect Labs, Jacobs Engineering Group, and Australian Signals Directorate. 

PeCan+2021 is a jeopardy-style CTF for teams of 4 with difficulty levels for beginners, intermediate and advanced teams. There are more that 50 challenges that cover broad topics such as webex, cryptography, reverse engineering and digital forensics! Put your ethical hacking skills to the test and learn cyber security in a practical way!

Saturday is a fun training day where we will run through the art of Cryptography, Digital Forensics, Steganography, Reverse Engineering, and Software and Web exploitation  – on the day all you just need is a go-get-'em attitude and problem-solving mind.  We have online tutors there to support groups of students.

Sunday will be the competition day! Prizes are for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each division.

PLEASE NOTE: Canberra students - the CTF is planned to take place at the Hanna Neumann Lab at ANU, however if COVID restrictions are extended, you will compete from home via Teams.
