The Australian Government has announced measures to support small businesses impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19), including stimulus packages to help protect communities and jobs over the next six months.

Support for businesses include, and is not limited to:

  • Temporary relief for financially distressed businesses
  • Increased instant asset write-off
  • Accelerated depreciation deduction arrangements
  • Increased and accelerated income support
  • Assistance for affected regions, communities and industries
  • Tax support
  • SME Guarantee Scheme
  • Boosting cash flow for employers
  • Supporting apprentices and trainees
  • State and territory grants and assistance
  • Support for existing government program participants and applicants.
